Data & Analytics are essential tools for businesses—yet over 2.2 billion people worldwide see variations like this...⬇️

The Challenges

While screen readers offer a workaround, they aren’t a comprehensive solution...

In a perfect world...
‍You should not just listen to your website’s content & the rich data on it line by line…
You should be able to talk to it.

2-step setup

Enlight Chrome extension is quick and easy to set up for users with visual impairments, requiring user's permission to capture the active tab on select websites.

Contextual Summary of the entire page to get started

When a user opens a new tab, Enlight scrolls through the page, captures and stitches full-page screenshots, and feeds the result into a multimodal LLM—enabling interactive explanations of the content.

Recommendations + conversation

Enlight suggests questions to help users initiate a conversation about the website content.

Accessible, Inclusive User Experiencefor all

Enlight includes features designed specifically to be accessible and inclusive for users with special needs.

Enlight is not just an accessibility tool...
It’s a paradigm shift in data analytics for every business owner.

We initially designed Enlight as a small corner modal, but soon realized that visually impaired users wouldn’t be able to access the information effectively. For them, the main website view holds less relevance since it's not clearly visible.

As a result, we redesigned Enlight to occupy nearly half of the viewport and adopted a high-contrast black background with white text to enhance readability and accessibility.

before

After

1. Capture

Enlight automatically scrolls through and captures full-page screenshots of website content for analysis

2. Analysize

The captured visuals are processed using multimodal LLMs (such as GPT-4, VisualBERT, or Google Vision API) to extract text, interpret graphs, understand visual layouts, and generate summaries, context, questions, and answers

3. Converse

Insights are then presented audibly in a conversational format, with contextual explanations of text, visuals, and responses to user-generated questions

We showed Enlight demo to thought leaders of visually impaired community, and here are their feedback:

Principal Accessibility Researcher at Amazon

“We don’t want special tool, we want to access the tools that everyone else uses.”

Representative from Screen Reader JAWS

“[Enlight] is an interesting idea… User experience is all about do we have a good method to get from point A to point B.”

Researcher at Amazon

“We found that…what they [the visually impaired] really want is when there is an image that is complex, they want the real explanation of it.”
